The Zoo is open every day of the year except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Days.Zoo events are a great way for you to support the Alaska Zoo while learning and participating in new experiences. Check back to this page when event ticket links are posted on our home page.

Join us on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 from 11am to 1pm for a fun-filled and educational scavenger hunt on zoo grounds! Our "Rondy Zoom" event is part of the larger Anchorage Fur Rendezvous celebration. Children in grade levels K through 6th are welcome to participate. All other visitors will pay regular admission rates or use their annual zoo passes. Each participant in the scavenger hunt must purchase a ticket IN ADVANCE ONLINE for $8 (no pass discount). We will have prizes for scavenger hunt winners with the fastest times and highest accuracy!

2016/2017 ZOO LIGHTS SCHEDULE:Nov.25-Jan.29:Thursdays to Sundays weekly from 5-8pm.Christmas Break Bonus (Dec.15-Jan.8): Open nightly, 7 days a week, 5-8pm (closed Dec.25).Feb.2-Mar.5: Thursdays to Sundays weekly from 6:30-8:30pm.

Purchase a donation of a stuffed Alaska Zoo polar bear for $10 and the Alaska Zoo will give it directly to a child staying at the Children's Hospital at Providence. Your gift will brighten a child's day!
